Christmas Eve Eve

This is the second year that we woke up and headed to Erin's in our jammies to have pancakes. She is so sweet to us! Sydney ate a little and then asked for pop pops (Rice Krispies) but oh well.
Present time! It was a really neat Princess Bake Oven that makes little cakes.
So of course the second her eyes opened up from nap she was asking to make a birthday cake for Jesus- a few days early but it was very sweet! One of my favorite professors at Ouachita had that tradition with her family and I am glad to start it with mine! Please notice Sophie our elf sitting just behind her!

Seriously, she asked me to take her picture with it because she was so proud.
Ta Da!!!! 2 pretty cakes! Happy Birthday Jesus!! So we sang and she blew the candles out and then immediately asked "Can I eat it???" Of course we did! I proudly showed the girls at dinner my video of her singing and they all thought I was horrible for putting her on the stovetop. I didn't even think about the fact that she could lean back and hit the on button! Whoops- sorry. Mother of the Year Award right here.
After I got Sydney in bed I had dinner with some of the best friends a girl could wish for! Love you girls and I LOVE my Glo gift card from the exchange!

OBU Girls Get Together-09

We had the OBU girls and kids over together on Sunday night and had a great time eating and laughing and trying to contain the crazy kids. Sydney wore a nativity scene shirt that I made; however, Dayle asked her who was on her shirt and she said "A kitty cat." :)
Below is our elf Sophie that we have LOVED having around. Every morning she rushes down to find her. One sad point this morning was when she asked where she was and I said the North Pole- she cried and wanted to say "bye" to her.
Karoline and Sydney
Jennifer, Dayle and Amber
All the kids loved the doll strollers- glad we have a couple!

Megan and Brooke watching Laura open a few presents
A quick snap of the kids
2 sweet red heads- Anna Beth and Sydney
We missed you girls who weren't able to come!

Breakfast With Santa 2009

Amber, Anna Beth, Erin, Sydney and Lauren
Sydney loves to "write" and also loves to look through magazines, so we wrote a letter to Santa in case she didn't want to talk to Santa. She held it the 20 minutes we were in line and was actually excited to see him.
She picked out a vacuum/mop/cleaning cart, a bike and a "hat" aka helmet :).
Emma, Ashley, and Elli
So, we finally get up to the stage and Santa and Sydney threw the letter on stage and froze. Brent and I swapped places and I sat her in his lap and walked off really quickly. She did it!

Thanks to everyone on the Committee for the Future who worked so hard on the fabulous event. It is the only day of the year when there are more healthy kids on the campus of Arkansas Childrens Hospital than sick ones.

Aunt Erin's 2nd Annual Cookie Decorating Party

WOW. Thank you Erin for caring, as always, for every detail. WOW.

Happy Birthday Uncle John!

Whew. Coming down from our sugar cookie high we ate pizza with Gigi and Grandaddy for Uncle John's birthday. We love you Uncle John!
