Easter 2011

We are the WORST about getting Easter morning pictures in our church clothes! Every year I think I will get the fam dressed up early and leave plenty of time for pictures and we always seem to be rushing around! Oh well- here is our attempt and there is MUCH more about Easter to celebrate than the perfect picture!

These are a few of my favorite things!!!!!!

And after nap we got to play with John Austin and Aunt Teeny! Woo hoo!

Rubber Duckie, Your the One!

Baby Cakes LOVES the bath and her new duck!!!

Disney On Ice 2011

Sydney and I were given Disney on Ice tickets and we had a blast spending the afternoon watching all the Princesses. I asked her afterwards what was her favorite part and she said really dramatically "Everything!". She wanted to dress up like Snow White, which surprised me because she normally doesn't like to wear dress up clothes (other than the heels) but she must have felt festive. I didn't drag my camera along but as always, Disney does it best!

Easter Egg Party at Aunt Erin's

Aunt Erin had these 2 hot messes over for a sleepover the first weekend in April, and spoiled them rotten with Chick Fil A, Easter baskets with house shoes and Dora at 4:45 am! THEN, she had several more kids over the next morning for her annual Easter Egg dying party. I stand in amazement!

Thank you Aunt Erin!!!!!!!

Busted!!!!

Sydney LOVES to lay in bed and listen until Kate wakes up and go running into her room. 2 problems: 1. It is often around 6:15 am and 2. She could easily fall or step onto sweet Kate! We have told Sydney over and over not to climb into the crib in the morning but to come and get Mommy. I heard both the girls over the monitor and when I walked into the hallway I realized Sydney had gotten her stool and was leaning safely over talking to the baby. I grabbed my camera and came back to the doorway, just as Sydney was busted about to climb right in!

Fishing with Grandaddy

Our sweet Grandaddy took Sydney fishing several weekends ago. Looking forward to another day soon. Maybe she'll be a little more quiet and you might catch something :)

Twim Jammies

I bought these jammies last fall on clearance at the Gap and had forgotten about them until tonight. Sydney was thrilled with the idea of wearing matching jammies and insisted we stay up until Daddy got home from church to see them. Two problems- now she wants them both to wear them every night and I don't do laundry that much, and second, Kate's little feet are freezing since she doesn't sleep with covers. Not my brightest purchase to buy 6 month jammies that are not footies! I guess I need to look for more matching outfits! Sorry Teeny, Erin and Gigi- I know you hate that but get ready. I mean, who can resist those smiles???

Sydney's Pictures

Sydney is very interested in using my camera since Nanny D got her one for her birthday. I thought she had just taken one of K and I, but tonight when I uploaded my camera I realized there were 3 pretty sweet attempts.

If you give a pig a pancake...

Sydney and I had a big girls day out over spring break and went to see "If you give a pig a pancake" at the Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theater. It was a very thoughtful gift from our friend Jude (pictured below holding hands with Syd) and it made me really appreciate the theater we do have right here in Central Arkansas. I will definately be looking for their schedule for next year. The show was hilarious and had lots of physical comedy which Sydney loved.
And she even created a self portrait of herself before the show :)
Thank you Jude, Mindy and Momma Dawne for the thoughtful gift!!!

Sydney's 4th Birthday

Well Sydney, you are 4 years old now!!! I am biased, but I think you are so smart, funny, talkative, a little too sassy sometimes, and overall a blessing beyond compare. I love you sweet pea! This year your birthday was a school day, so you celebrated with presents from Daddy, Kate and I at home and then at school all your friends sang you happy birthday during circle time. I think you got a little nervous because you put your hands in your pocket and tried to pretend that you were shy. Too bad everyone in the room knows you.
We brought all of your friends at school 4 donut holes (since that was the magical number of the day!) and yummy chocolate milk!

We had dinner at Gigi's and Grandaddy's with yummy cake, balloons and presents

And then the next night we celebrated with Poppa Gene and Nanny D and Uncle John but for some reason I forgot my camera! Love you to pieces...

Happy Birthday Sydney! Mega Gymnastics Party

One of her favorite things was when the birthday girl got to sit in the middle of the parachute :)

Happy 4th Birthday my sweet and sassy Sydney!
