Yesterday afternoon we celebrated Carson's 4th and Elli's 3rd birthday- look how excited they are to be the center of attention! Sydney had a great time at the party, which was a Brian Kinder concert at the Summit Church. Of course I told her we were going to Elli's birthday party, but when we pulled up to the church Sydney said "I no go church! I go Elli's party!?!?" But she soon figured it out and had a great time. Several times all the other kids were sitting and listening and Sydney was up dancing and jumping around.

Whew. Other than the birthday party, I also worked at Rhea Lanas until past midnight 4 nights this week. In addition to being a mom and wife and working my regular Speech Pathologist job, I have worked over 60 hours as a manager at Rhea Lana's, which is a huge consignment sale in Central Arkansas. I sincerely do love helping people find great things for their families, help them sell things they no longer need, and getting to do lots of shopping for my own. That said, I am ready for a break from working 2 full time jobs!!! This morning at church I was supposed to work in the 2 year old class, so I told Sydney all morning I was going to be her teacher and then they needed a 3 year old teacher instead. Needless to say, that wasn't going to work so Sydney got to come in the big girl class today and have worship with the 3-5 year olds. It was really special to get to watch her try and say the monthly memory verse and participate in singing. Of course music is right up her ally, especially because all of the songs have hand motions/dancing. I snapped this of our group and Sydney singing "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength". Whew. I know one teacher who needed that reminder more than the kids did this morning.

Glad to see that Sydney enjoyed Brian and Terri! It looks like she had a blast. Hope that you get to "rest" this week. I bet you are exhausted.

Oh, and yes, I think we all need to be reminded of Philippians 4:13. :)
So so cute!!
