Sydney started swim lessons this afternoon with Safety Before Skill Swim School, which focuses on water safety along with swimming skills. They are very hard core, hence the swim cap requirement. :) They rent the indoor pool at a scuba diving shop, so it was a warm 86 degrees in the water (or so they said). I was impressed by how much she learned today: getting in and out of the pool without a ladder or steps, moving along the side of the pool holding the wall, swimming and reaching to the wall, floating, kicking and scooping her hands, and going under holding her breath. Most importantly, she loved it and this will hopefully make us feel a little safer around the pool and lake.

What a big girl! It reminds me of Annie when she was swiming at Daddy Warbucks house!!! We went to swim lessons today too!!!!
I am very impressed! You are always so ahead of the game with involving Sydney in activities. I need to take lessons from you. My children are scared of the water, so we need to invest in this class!
Fun! Great idea. Is it at Rick's Dive?
