So, this post may seem vain and I don't want it to. However, the hair catastrophe of 2010 must be addressed. Not my hair. Sydney's hair. Oh my goodness. What a year her hair has had!?!?! My sweet little girl started the year out with an innocent and pretty bob. And let's be honest, I have rocked this haircut since my senior year of high school, so it was in my comfort zone! Then, late spring her hair started having more body and I thought she just needed a good hair cut. Still cute and easy enough to fix, and allowed for pony tails, bows, etc.
In June, we went to Florida and boy was it hot and humid. That is when we really noticed that her baby hairs around her face were curling! Still pretty and actually framed her face quite nicely.
However, the summer of 2010 was the hottest on record. And the hotter and more humid it got, the worse Sydney's hair started looking. Here she is rocking the 80s bang look, which is really her hair around her face and at the crown of her head curling.
And as the summer progressed, her hair started coming in curly- FROM THE ROOTS!!!!!I took her to my hairdresser for some hair intervention, and Allison agreed that yes her hair is coming in curly and that we needed to cut some of the straight off. Which lead to the worst hair EVER. Straight up Annie pre-Daddy Warbucks adoption.
As the Fall has progressed, we have still struggled with the half straight/half curly issue. I have tried blow drying it straight, scrunching it with curl enhancer, curling with a curling iron, and a variety of other things. But really, nothing helped it be one or the other!
And so, last week Allison cut it again really short. And finally, we at least have one or the other. And it is officially- CURLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I love it!

The evolution of Sydney Walker's hair is hilarious! But it has turned out to be ADORABLE! From one curly haired girl to another...You have got some great hair days ahead, girl! :) especially on rainy days! Thankfully, there are some great hair products that I can share with your mommy! Too cute!

So cute! I took a picture of the back of Jarrett's hair today. He has almost the same color of hair & it's curly too. They are on my blog under his 11 month post!
