Rockettes!!!!

Several of my friends from work and I had the wonderful opportunity to see the Radio City Rockettes show this afternoon! It sincerely was AMAZING and I wanted to stay and see it again at 7:00. We actually got moved up to the 10th row because ticket sales for the show weren't sold out and the seats were perfect. What a blessing!! I lost count on their 8th costume change, plus Santa and a whole cast with them. I don't think Sydney would have been able to sit through the 1 1/2 hour show this year, but I will certainly buy tickets again for us both next year (if they come back!) I couldn't help but take tons of pictures- but they don't do the show or costumes justice. Hope you enjoy them!

The famous toy soldiers- Shout Out to the EEE Tiger Tunes '98 Champions!!!

Oh, and the stage even had a small ice rink on it!

What a wonderful ending- they read the Christmas story from Luke and then had a beautiful Nativity scene.

Can't stop listening to...

Casting Crowns latest CD Peace on Earth. It is so good and there are several excellent tracks. I can't stop listening to "While You Were Sleeping". Here are a few lines...
Oh Bethlehem, you will go down in history
as a city with no room for a King...
While you were sleeping
United States of America, looks like another silent night
While we're sound asleep with philosophies
like save the trees but kill the children...
Will we go down as a nation with no room for its King?
While you were sleeping

My week in review/Breakfast with Santa

Sorry Santa, but I was a little scared that my Mommy was going to leave me alone with you. Every time I see your picture I say "Ho Ho Ho" and maybe next year we can pose for a better picture. Sunday afternoon we made some oatmeal butterscotch cookies for my Nanny. She is still in the hospital, but she is really tough and is letting the PT folks get her up and practice walking and everything! Thanks for praying for her safety and recovery.
This was my first time to get to make cookies with Mom and I made a huge mess and had a great time. Good thing Aunt Erin made me a big girl apron!
I tried to call the North Pole to apologize for the drama at Breakfast with Santa, but I couldn't get through. Dad said he will pass along the message.
Stevie and I got to jump in a bounce house at Jump Zone for Brooks 4th birthday. I gotta get one of these!!!
Aunt Erin helped organize this years Breakfast with Santa and I helped her work the check in desk a little. She is trying to keep me warm here. If you kids out there need a great place to visit with Santa, eat breakfast with LR firefighters, and do several other crafts, I highly recommend the Children's Hospital Breakfast with Santa next year.

Poppa Gene and Nanny D came over last week to help my Mom set up the snow village and eat some pizza. I needed to wear my sunglasses in the picture because my future is so bright ;)
Say "cheese" Daddy!
And this is Gigi and I coloring a picture for Granddaddy's office. He made me some yummy barbecue last week and needed a thank you. Whew! We have been busy!

If you are reading this- say a prayer for Brent's Nanny!

If you are reading my blog, please say a prayer for Brent's Nanny. We just celebrated Thanksgiving with her and she is in the best health, BUT she fell today and broke her femur bone (huge thigh bone) just under the hip joint. She was in a lot of pain and had to be transported by ambulance for over an hour. She will be in surgery tomorrow morning at 8:30 am and we are praying for a safe surgery and a very quick and "as painless as possible" recovery. We love you Nanny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I forgot to share this picture!

Snapfish:Photo:Shared
I forgot to share a funny moment from Erin's cookie party. Sydney had to go sit in time out for a minute in the back bedroom, and she dramatically threw herself onto the rug and started crying. Jackson and Greer came wandering in to make sure she was going to survive to age 2. It was really funny and sweet. They just stood over her and watched her crying on the rug and I forgot that Erin captured it on film.

Whew... we had a great weekend! Be prepared for a long post!

Here we are after church today, and we spent the rest of the day recovering from a busy but great weekend. I am actually watching Lord of the Rings: Return of the King with Brent with a blanket and my laptop, trying to fight a cold from the Razorback game, but I am jumping ahead! We had a relaxing Thanksgiving with some of Brent's family at his mom's house. The food was fantastic and Sydney enjoyed having another baby around.

And to add to the celebration, it was my father-in-law Lloyd's birthday! Happy Birthday Poppa!

Aunt Whitney, Eric and baby Jonathan!
After dinner we helped get Sandy's house ready for Christmas.
Who has the boot?!?!?!?!
We have the boot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who beat LSU?!?!?!
We beat LSU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GO HOGS GO!!!!
Now, I must give an honest account of the game. We both dressed like fools who thought it was not going to rain and was going to warm up during the afternoon. I actually wore ballet flats without socks! So, we endured the first half like champs, but when the score was LSU 30 Hogs 14 and it was starting to rain harder, we headed to the car. I know, fair weather fans. We grabbed Syd from my mom's and I can PROMISE we watched every second of the second half cheering our heads off from the warm house. I am happy for Casey Dick after all the ups and downs he has endured. And....
Can't WAIT for next year's season!

And now... Aunt Erin's Cookie Decorating Party!!!!! Erin had several kids over on Saturday for the first annual Christmas Cookie Decorating party. Every single detail was perfect and we had a blast. Here are a few of my favorite pictures...

Please look at these adorable aprons that Erin made for all the kids.

Dear Santa, if you need a hint on what I want for Christmas, it would be balloons. I had more fun playing with these than most toys.
Gigi even came to help decorate!
We are very thankful and very blessed indeed!!!!
