"Yay Daddy! Push the lawn mower!"

The sweetest thing happened the other day! I think I have mentioned that Sydney is obsessed with lawn mowers and loves to supervise her daddy when he mows. Brent was going to mow after work but it was 101 outside and I needed to cook dinner. So I opened the dining room window blinds really wide and set up her chair so she could watch. She settled in for a second, and then I heard her run into the playroom. I thought she had lost interest, but then she yelled out "Yay Daddy!!! Push the lawn mower!!" and I heard a little shake shake shake. I came to investigate and discovered that she had gotten into her dress up box, found one of her razorback pom poms, and she and Misty were literally cheering Daddy on!!!!!!

Thanks Aunt Teeny for our gorgeous dress! It helped her be a big girl at church yesterday, which leads me to my next little story. When I came to pick her up after the service, her teacher Angie smiled and said that she had gone potty during church and said "Yay! Mommy be so happy."

One more quick Sydney story so that I can remember these things!! I was gone for 2 nights to Jennifer's wedding and Brent did a fabulous job holding everything together (in fact he even took her to Stevie's 3rd birthday party!). Saturday morning I called to check in and Sydney wanted to talk to me. And she only said one word. "Coming???" My heart broke!! She was asking me if and when I was coming home :(. So so so so so sweet! I got home just as she woke up from her nap and when I walked into her room she screamed out, jumped up and down in the crib and said "Coming!!!!!!" I love being a mom.

Sweet Sydney. I am so proud of her for being such a big girl! We were talking (still just "talking") about the potty the other day and Jackson told me matter-of-factly "Syndey goes potty." :)

I am so glad we get to spend some quality and quantity time with our babies for a few months this summer! We were in the kitchen this morning and I was getting his breakfast ready and out of the blue he says, "I love you, mama!" this is the hardest job in the world, but it's moments like that, that make it worth it! Thanks for sharing those sweet moments!
