28+ weeks

I think that Sydney has found her elbows and knees, and is putting more power to each punch and kick. I still love it though, even though at church this morning I jumped a little in my seat because she socked it to me suddenly- and pretty hard! Good news... I don't have gestational diabetes. Bad news... My iron levels are a little low, which means I'm anemic. Not a major issue I hope, just taking an iron supplement every day. I have 3 more days of work until Christmas break, and I am so looking forward to some time to spend with family and friends. I may try and rest a little too!

Sydney's Room is started

I love the paint colors- purple and green with diamonds. Here are some pictures of the night we put Sydney's crib together. Thank you Dad and Doris! Of course I can't wait to get the bedding back from Miss Martha (who is making it). Until then, I will work on making some curtains, finding the perfect dresser, and having Keri over to help with what she called today the "fluff" in the room. I'll keep you guys posted.

I forgot to mention that we agreed on a name...

Sydney Elise Walker

I'm behind on pictures

Here is a picture taken when I was 25 weeks, but the really good news is that I'll be 27 tomorrow. Wow- I can't even really wrap my mind around the fact that I'm starting my 3rd Trimester!!! She has really been moving more and I love it. OK I don't love everything about pregnancy, but I love being pregnant. Is that so cheesy? I already feel so connected to this little person that is taking over my life. I have a drs. appointment on Monday, and I have to take the diabetes test (Yuck). I'll be glad when that is behind me. Lets see... what else should I share? Oh!!! Brent has been working so hard on painting the nursery! We also had some diamonds painted and she finished them on Tuesday night. I am really happy with the way it looks so far. Tomorrow night my dad and Brent are going to put together the crib and move our new glider/rocker upstairs. I promise I will post pictures then!

A little late...

OK, sorry bloggers, I have been so busy at work and other excuses, but better late than never. Here are so cute pictures from the LSU game Thanksgiving weekend. And the next weekend Brent, Jeff and Jeremy had a great time at the SEC game in Atlanta (other than the outcome of the game) but didn't get any great pictures. The Walkers are very proud of the season the Razorbacks have had. We won't be making the Bowl Game in Flordia, but we will certainly be cheering them on via the TV!!

Bowden is so funny...

OK, Bowden Luce is SO FUNNY!!! His little personality is really emerging, and he just cracks me up all the time. Scarlett and Jason, of course, came for the birth of Scarlett Conley and they stayed with us for a couple of days. I think Bowden loves Misty, our lab. Scar asked if he wanted to go back to Miss Lauren's and he said "No, I want to go to Misty's". Oh, and he said to Scarlett "I love Misty. She is my favorite dog." I was in the kitchen and I turned around and Bowden was laying on top of Misty petting her and I heard him say to her "Misty, you are so cute". Brent and Jason were working on raking up the front yard and Bowden had a blast "helping", so I had to include a picture of that too.

Tennessee Game Weekend

We had a great weekend in Fayetteville for the Tennessee Game. Thanks to the Boyd's for letting us stay. I made Keri power shop on Saturday before the game, the boys went to see the Game Day crew, and then we all put on several layers of clothes and went to call those HOGS!!! Brent votes that game as his favorite ever to attend. He and Jeff were actually close enough during Game Day to shot the picture of them choosing Arkansas as the winner of the game. We may have a few tickets for the SEC championship game in Atlanta (of course pending a win this weekend), but I don't know if 6 months pregnant that would be a very fun weekend. Call or email if you might be interested in buying a few...

Go Hogs Go!!!

Oh, I love Little Rock Razorback games!!! Especially when we win! Thanks to Jeff and Erin for hosting a great tailgate. Of course we stayed til' the end (Brent won't have it any other way), but I am really looking forward to the next 4 games- huge month for Hog Nation!!! The baby really started moving around at the beginning of the game when the crowd was loud. Oh boy- the LSU game should be fun for her :)!

20 Weeks

So far, my 20th week has been my favorite! We got to see the baby on ultrasound, we know it is a girl, and I felt her move for the first time Friday!!! Over the last 48 hours I have felt much more of the same feeling, so I'm pretty sure it is her. Very exciting!

Loved from the start

Well, here are a couple of pictures from her first photo session. Thanks everyone for your great comments. I will be 20 weeks on Friday and I am still feeling pretty good. Just normal aches and pains that come with the process. Of course, the news of a baby girl is still sinking in, and oh the things we need to buy!!!! Enjoy the pictures....

Well, it's a....

OK today was our ultrasound day!!! Everything went wonderfully and she spent like 45 minutes with us, and we walked out with at least 15 pictures of our healthy and beautiful baby.......................GIRL!!!!!!!!

My parents are on their way over to look at pictures and to eat dinner, but I promise I will scan in pictures tomorrow at Erin's. We are so thankful and thrilled with the news. Thanks for checking our blog and caring!

I am currently 16 weeks and thought I would add a "bump" picture. I'll try and do a picture every few weeks to follow my progress. I feel like it is very noticeable, but I'm sure that in 4 months from now I'll think differently. We had an appointment with Dr. Hubach this week, and so far things are looking very normal. The heartbeat at 12 weeks was 160, and this visit it was around 150. All my lab screenings came back on Friday as normal, and we have an ultrasound scheduled for October 17th at 12:30! I am getting anxious to know what it is, of course!! We may look next week at cribs and fabric just to get some ideas. I have been feeling really good, other than a stomach virus 2 weekends ago! I honestly love being pregnant, but I'm scared of karma, because women that aren't sick in the beginning will get paybacks towards the end!

Very busy weekends...

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't made a post in, oh, say 6 weeks! Due to recent death threats and various other crude remarks- I'm back! We have been out of town the last 4 weekends in a row- Fayetteville for the USC game, Heber Springs with my parents, Hot Springs for Bradley's wedding, and now we are back in Fayetteville for the Alabama game. By the way- GO HOGS!!!!! Brent and I stayed until the end of the 2nd overtime- I still can't believe we pulled out a win! Thanks to Keri and Jeff for always being great hosts. And, as most of us know, Caroline Boyd is the cutest! Even with a cold she has been so good! Well, OK, Brent and I slept while Jeff and Keri got up every few hours with her, so to us she has been perfect! On our way home we are stopping in Fort Smith for lunch with my grandparents to celebrate my grandfathers 82 birthday tomorrow!!! Here are a few pictures from this weekend.

10 Weeks

Well, I am at the 10 week mark, and so far things have been going pretty smoothly. As long as I get something to eat every few hours, I haven't suffered from too much nausea. I do have these weird moments of feeling carsick, but I'm not going to complain because I know some women have it way worse! We go back to the doctor next week and I am really looking forward to hearing the baby's heart beat. I'll keep everyone posted...

March 10, 2007

Well, I guess this is one of the biggest blog updates I will ever type.
I'm PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am only 8 1/2 weeks along though, so for anyone reading this, I will covet your prayers for the baby. My due date is March 10, 2007. We had a drs. appointment last week, and so far things are looking good. We got to do an ultrasound and see a tiny little baby with a tiny blinking dot (which was the heartbeat- oh I could cry just thinking about it) We don't have a scanner though, so I can't upload the ultrasound, and since I personally do not want a picture of me holding pee sticks with 2 pink lines on the web, you will have to wait for pictures. God is already working miracles for us, including a new job for me, better insurance coverage through Brent's work, and not too much morning sickness.
To HIM be all the glory and honor...

Trip to see the Levins...

We made a weekend trip to Louisiana go and see Corbin and John this weekend. It was so fun but too quick! We'll make it back down soon for some good food, and maybe some more luck at the $1 slots! We loved the new office and we are so proud and excited for you guys. Oh, and Brent is willing to do an infomercial on John's root canal skills!

Oh No... The Big 3-0!!!

Well, today my sweet husband turns 30. Scarlett, Jason and Bowden have been here all weekend. We swam yesterday and we had a good time last night eating with friends and having cake and ice cream (after a small air conditioner problem). He did lose in poker, but other than that I think he had a good time. Today I made him listen to the song "My Next 30 Years" by Tim McGraw because I love the sentiments in it- especially "The next 30 years will be the best years of my life, gonna raise a little family and hang out with my wife" :) Happy Birthday!!!!!
