I was "tagged" by Lindsey Kelley to play the following game. Since I am a rule-follower to the letter, here are the rules:
The Rules:
1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules. (**if you’re a non-blogger, you can email them!)
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
**I feel like I need to preface this by saying "Just Lauren", like Jack did from Will & Grace. :)
Random Info #1: I LOVE to watch Sydney sleeping. We joke and say that the only TV channel I have time to watch now is "Channel Sydney" on my video monitor. I love to wake up in the middle of the night and just watch her for a minute or two and then go back to sleep.
Random Info #2: I attended a conference today about special education due process paperwork that the state department requires all the early childhood offices to follow. And I'm proud to say that after only 1 year doing the paperwork- I understood about 95% of what the speaker said. This is WAY up from last year, when I understood about 1%.
Random Info #3: I have already bought Sydney's Halloween costume because I found one I liked online.
Random Info #4: I actually enjoy sitting down and paying bills. And feeling so accomplished after they have their address labels and stamps on them.
Random Info #5: Brent and I read a book in 2004 that changed our financial lives called Debt Proof Living by Mary Hunt. Since that time, we have really tried to only buy things with cash and save every month for "expected expenses". For example, I have $250 saved already for Christmas and $110 saved for my property tax. This makes me feel like I have a small amount of control over paying large bills and also keeps me from using my Visa card.
Random Info #6: I am going bowling tomorrow night with the girls from my new Bodylife Group (aka Sunday School Class). I haven't bowled since at least 2000. It will be scary I'm afraid...
Random Info #7: My favorite selfish pastime is climbing into bed and reading InStyle magazine from cover to cover. In fact, I got one today with Gwen on the cover, so I need to wrap this up!
Random Info #8: I should get my 07-08 caseload of therapy kids next week, and I can't WAIT to see their little faces and start the speech therapy process with them. I am really blessed to do what I love and love what I do!
OK, now Corbin, Keri, Erin, Megan, Amber, Scarlett, Melissa, Casey, and Rachel... you have been tagged!!!

This was a good post. Hey, who all is in your new BL group?
Thanks LAuren now everyone knows I listen to talk radio like my pappa!!!
Hi Lauren! Yes, we started the water in the sippy cup at 6 mo. We don't push it but figured she could kind of play with it. I have always heard that it is hard for them to get use to. She is able to drink out of the Numby (I think that is the brand) I was told they are the cheap Wal-Mart kind. We use Dr. Brown's bottles and they make a training sippy cup. We plan on buying a couple of both and see how she does because the ones we have now are to hard for her to suck the water out.
Sydney is so cute! She seems to be such a happy baby! I just love that picture of Sydney and her daddy on the "My Sunday Afternoon" post!! Too cute!!
Lauren, you know I am not very good at filling out questionaires. These days, I can barely get pics of my kids on the blog. I did enjoy reading about you though! How did Sydney do for her first week of daycare?
Just wanted to say how fabulous you look. You are glowing! Also, I that "debt proof life" changed your financial life. Just wanted to give a shout out to another financial life changer, "The debt diet". Brady and I started it two years ago and it changed our financial present and future. Isn't it so empowering to be in control. Danielle
